Troop "D" was an original troop serving Central New York, The first Troop "D" Headquarters was located at the Valley House in Onondaga Valley, NY where Syracuse University now stands. The patrol area was all counties east of the
Troop "A" area & bordered on the east by western borders of Franklin, Herkimer, Otsego & Deleware Counties north to the Canadian border & south to the
Pennsylvania State line. The first Troop "D" commander was Hamilton H. Barnes.
