Troop "G" was an original troop serving Eastern New York State. The first Troop "G" Headquarters was located at the Flynn Estate, at Stop 29 1/2 on the Albany Schenectedy Road, Colonie, NY. The personnel compliment consisted of 2 officers and 56 enlisted men. Motor equipment provided was a Model T Ford car, a Ford truck and 3 motorcycles. The patrol area was all counties east of the Troop "D"
patrol area bordered on the east by Connecticut, Vermont & Massachusetts north to the Canadian border & south to a point across the center of Sullivan, Ulster & Dutchess counties. The first Troop Commander was Herbert G. Rosboro. In 1921, Troop G moved to their new barracks on South Lake Avenue, Troy, NY where they functioned until October 28, 1959, when a new barracks was built on Route 9, Loudonville, NY and occupied.
